Welcome to week one of the Empowered Creative Woman Workshop
Hello!! I’m Sherry Canino and I will be your Artist Guide for this weeks class. I’d like to start off by saying thank you to each and everyone of you for being here and sharing your time with me. I for one know that there are tons of online classes and workshops out there, and having all of you beautiful souls participate in mine is a pure blessing! So THANK YOU!!❤️
I have an introduction video below that is labeled Video 1 – this is where you should start as it lays the foundation for what we are doing in the creative videos that follow.
As you embark on this creative journey with Leslie and I please remember that there is no right or wrong way for you to create your journal pages or art. There is no better than someone else or not as good as someone else, there is simply a FABULOUS group of ladies all on different paths and at different stages of our journey. Please if you haven’t joined the Facebook group do so here is the link, here you can feel comfortable and safe to share your photos and connect with myself and others during this workshop.
Here is a list of this week prompts:
The prompts are only to give you some guided inspiration in your journey and for your creative process. Feel free to incorporate one, several, all or none into your art. The choice is yours again there is no right or wrong – only what feels right and good to you.
Video 1 – Introduction
You do not have to immediately jump into the creative videos if you don’t want. You can take some time prepare your space, get in a comfortable setting, pull out your supplies and do the creative videos as time allows and as you feel drawn to do so. Remember this is not a race this is a workshop to be done at your own pace when it feels good to you.❤️
Here are your creative videos for this week I hope you enjoy them!!❤️❤️

Here are My Final pages – the next day I went back in and added some leaves to the flower in here hair – this to me added what I was looking for to kind of ground it to my page. I also added little bit here and there with a script stamp that I have by Pam Carriker using a brown Archival Ink stamp pad. I also wrote some positive affirmations in her hair that I need for myself on this creative journey.
Here is a list of items I used in my art journal this week:
Jane Davenport Watercolors, charcoal pencil, dip pen and ink, ephemera, water color crayons, matte acrylic paints, script stamp, white gesso
Again thank you so much for sharing your time with me and all of us this week. I will see you all over in the Facebook group. If you want to share your projects online feel free to do so tag me if you’d like, and be sure to use the hash tag #theempoweredcreativewoman
Be Fierce and Empowered my dear friends!!
