Ghostly Art Tags

We are but a week away from Halloween so let’s create something spooky together.

Hi Friends, I can’t help it I might be grown but I just LOVE Halloween.  Last weekend Dan, my son & (his girlfriend ) and I all went to a place called Demons Acres.  There they had a haunted house – a haunted maze called Jail Break, an Insane Asylum and a Haunted hayride.

Well we did them all except the haunted house and they were all so much fun.  The best being the haunted hayride which they are known for.

The pics are dark and not that great but I wanted to share anyways – there really was not much lighting out there!!  Very spooky ambiance for sure!!

This bottom one is me getting strapped into the Insane Asylum chair – super crazy scary!!

A couple pics from the Haunted Hay Ride

I Have to say that we all had a blast and it was worth the almost hour drive to get to this place out in the middle of no where lol.

So today I have a Halloween tutorial for you all – I am using mostly products by Tim Holtz to make these 2 tags.  I really had a blast making them, I hope you will join in and create a couple with me – just use what you have don’t worry if you don’t have all the exact same elements as I do.  All the products used are listed in the description of my Youtube video.

Come on lets have a little Halloween fun together !!

below are the instructors full names and their blog/website/or social media as well as a photo so you can get to know them each a bit better.

I put together a little sneak peek for all of you on my class:

Here is the definition of Gratitude in the Online dictionary

grat·i·tude
noun
the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
  1. synonyms: gratefulness, thankfulness, thanks, appreciation,

This simple definition just says it all:

Readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness

Such a powerful statement indeed!

In the words of Tiare Smith:  So simple, yet so mighty. It becomes mightier as we practice it in our lives. Growing it in a group makes it all the stronger.   This journal will help to reinforce it and give us a great reference that keeps us grounded.  Just imagine after one month how your attitude, those around you and your life will change.  Change your heart. Change your mind. Change your life. A month of gratitude. A month of miracles….again!  Thank you Tiare! I couldn’t have said it any better!

The Empowered Creative Woman Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of the Empowered Creative Woman Workshop

Hi Friends, I’m Sherry Canino and I will be your Artist Guide for this week’s class.  If you were with us last week welcome back, if you are new to the class welcome I’m so happy to have you here!!

I want to send out a HUGE Thank you to all of you who joined us for week one and for all of those who have shared their art, commented and left uplifting feedback for others as well as myself in the group.  You all fill my heart up with so much love, it’s overwhelming and I can’t thank you all enough!  I adore each and everyone of you and appreciate that you share your time with me!!

Here are a list of this weeks prompts:

  • Peaceful

  • Free or Be Free

  • Using your voice

  • Emotional Freedom

  • Freedom

  • Being heard

  • Letting go

The prompts are only to give you some guided inspiration in your journey and for your creative process.  Feel free to incorporate one, several, all or none into your art.  The choice is yours again there is no right or wrong – only what feels right and good to you.

This week I chose to use some butterflies in my art journal page, although to many they represent change, to me they have always represented being free and this can mean being free in any sense that you want for me its kinda like freedom from emotional baggage or emotional overload.  This to me is key into being able to find my voice, being able to be heard and being free to just be ME!

So without further ado here are this weeks videos.  The first one is just a short intro and because I wanted to pop in and say hi to all of you lovelies!! 🙂
