Good Morning Friends, so glad to have you all with me again this week. I can’t believe that we are already to the middle of March and what a whirlwind of weather we have been having here with 60 degree swings in temperatures not to mention the crazy wind. So I do hope that all of you have been safe during all of these different storms and such that have been just everywhere in the world!
This week I have a mixed media art journal page for all of you. This page I feel is full of fun and pizazz but is more on the Quick and Easy side for sure. I mean lets face it as much as all of us would love to have hours on end to just sit and create in our art journals that isn’t always realistic. Sometimes we have just 15-20 minutes to create and so we have to take what we can get. I would say this page probably took about a half an hour but mainly because of clean up and dry time on things. So grab your coffee, art journal, supplies you love (don’t forget the stencils 🙂 and lets get creating.
Stencils Used in todays video are:
Terri Stegmiller: Scribble Blooms
Margaret Applin – Valentine of Mine
MaryBeth Shaw: Planner Lines 4
Mary C. Nasser: Go Your Own Way Arrows
Thanks so much for sharing your time with me today, hope you enjoyed todays video and if you were inspired by this video and create something from this inspiration please share it with me on Instagram by tagging me or sharing with me on Pintrest I would love to pin your art !!
Have a wonderful and peaceful day !!

Hi Friends and welcome to this weeks Stencil Crush Tuesday. This week its all about the Stars. I have been wanting to create a page using Mary C. Nasser’s Star Map stencil because I love it so much. So my art journal page this week is centered around that stencil. I really enjoyed creating this page and I love the quote on it which says: “Be Glad of Life because it gives you the chance to love, and to play and to look at the stars”
So grab your coffee and lets see what stencils I’m crushing on this week 🙂
Stencils used in this weeks video can be found here:
Mary C. Nasser: Star Map, Go Your Own Way Arrows
MaryBeth Shaw: Trees 6, Private Collection 15.5
Nathalie Kalbach: Amsterdam 6
Seth Apter: Urban Insiders Star
June Pfaff Daley: Military Stars
Thanks so much for sharing your time with me friends and I hope you all have an amazing week!!
You all have expressed how you loved the Art Journal Pages on a budget video I created so I decided to turn this into a series of videos for all of you. Come along with me as I show you how I created this art journal page with very limited and inexpensive supplies. Remember that although we all LOVE art supplies you can make absolutely beautiful pages without all the name brands and have a fabulous time doing it as well. Art is not about the “stuff” its about creating from you heart! I have included a couple little craft hacks in this one as well.
Grab the cup of coffee and lets get making some art !! 🙂
Hope you all enjoyed today’s video and thanks so much for sharing your time with me, it truly means so much.
In case you missed it, I was featured last week on StencilGirl Talk (StencilGirl Products blog) talking a little bit about the “other side” of me. Hope you take a minute to check it out here. Have a beautiful day my friends. See you Tuesday for another Stencil Crush Tuesday blog post and video xxoo – Sherry
Good Morning Friends and thank you so much for being here with me today for another Stencil Crush Tuesday Video. This week’s video is a shorty, but I think it really packs a punch. I am always inspired by other artists who create quite a bit different than myself. This week’s video is inspired by Dina Wakley. Over the summer I had challenged myself while working in my art journal to leave some “white space”. For some reason this concept continues to elude me. You will see in this video I actually had to “think” about leaving white space, I know it sounds so crazy! But I challenge any of you out there who are like me and just LOVE TO COVER THE PAGE, to give it a try. Feel free to leave me a link here to your blog and be sure to link your blog post back to this post as well 🙂 I would love to see your work!!
In the details of my video on my YouTube Channel I reference the video by Dina Wakley that inspired this art journal page and her technique. This challenge also reminded me that even when you create what seems “Quick and Simple ” it can have a profound impact and also this is a wonderful way to create when you don’t have lots of time to make a long elaborate page. I am using some of my absolute favorite stencils today by Artist Mary C. Nasser as well as a newer stencil by Marybeth Shaw and a fun texture stencil by Pam Carriker. So as they say….. on with the show (or video lol 🙂
Mary C. Nasser: Go Your Own Way Mini Stencil, Around Here Arrows Mini Stencil
MaryBeth Shaw: Planner Geo 6
Pam Carriker: Journal Texture #1 Stencil
As always thanks so much for sharing some of your precious time with me today and thank you to everyone who takes the time to leave me such kind and loving comments as they mean the world to me. Wishing everyone a beautiful and peaceful Tuesday!!
Good Morning Friends,
Imagine my excitement when Artist Nathalie Kalbach, asked if I would be interested in guest Artist feature on her Blog! Well YEAH of course I would and it is such a HUGE honor!!!
You can check out the post here.
Many of you probably know Nathalie at the Creative Jumpstart “Artist”, and she is also a designer of stencils from StencilGirl Products and has her own stamp line as well as ArtFoamie Stamp line. Check out all this and her amazing artwork on her website as she is pretty darn spectacular!!
I can’t say thank you enough Nathalie for this opportunity much love and appreciation being sent your way from me!! xxoo
Hi friends and welcome to another fun week of Stencil Crush Tuesday.
This week I have a fun mixed media tutorial for all of you that I hope you will enjoy. I am using lots and lots of Stencil Girl Stencils and below is the list of ones I am using as well as a link to find them :). I am also using the Jane Davenport Face Stamps and some of her new paint markers and I have to say that I really do like them, well worth the price!
So grab a cup of coffee or your drink of choice and sit back and enjoy the tutorial for this week 🙂
Stencils Used in this weeks episode are:
By Gwen Lafleur: Decorative Curvy Ornament , Decorative 6 Petal Flower, Decorative Filigree Repeating corner
Marybeth Shaw: The Mini From the January 2017 Private Collection 17.1
Andrew Borloz: Heart home drop 6
Maria McGuire: Seeds, Live Your Beautiful Life
Recently a friend online asked about how to create pages without all the fancy stamps and stencils and products that they see me use. So knowing that we all have other things in our lives that have to come first in our budgets I decided to create this video to share some ideas of things you can use and things that I do currently use that you probably already have laying around the house.
Hope you enjoy and wishing everyone a fabulous weekend ❤❤❤
